A Revelation of Christ

I was raised in a family who met with the local churches. The first time I realized that I had a human spirit, which was made to contain God, was when I was about 9 years old. I had to read the book of Hebrews, in the New Testament, with my parents during a kind of family time. But at that age I really didn't want to do any reading at all, the only thing in my mind was play-time and more play-time. Soon we started to read and consider the Word, I began to feel a real inner-peace, like this Word that we were reading was living and operative (Heb. 4:12). After reading a full chapter of the Word of God, with my family I felt so refreshed and enlivened.

After such a refreshing Word I just had to ask my parents what I was sensing inside, and why I felt so living. They told me that when our Savior Christ died on the cross He became the life-giving Spirit. And through His death and resurrection He came as this Spirit to enter into our human spirit to be contained and enjoyed by us. I soon realized that when I was reading the Word and enjoying the Word, that Christ Himself was reading it with me. I also realized that this glorious infinite Christ dwells in the innermost part of my being--my spirit. Oh, Hallelujah, what a blessing and what a revelation that my blessed Redeemer and Savior lives in me. And I can easily contact Him by calling on His name, Oh Lord Jesus!
